TYPO3 ELTS Release Version 6.2.35
Yesterday, our TYPO3 ELTS team released a new version for TYPO3 6.2 ELTS. The package includes two security fixes.
To minimize vulnerability for TYPO3 6.2 instances “out in the wild” that still have to be updated and have not been subscribed to our ELTS plan, we won’t provide details for the fixes that come with this release.
Are you still running your website on TYPO3 version 6.2?
TYPO3 CMS always has 2 current versions that are supplied with free security bug fixing - currently those are versions 7.6 and version 8.7.
When TYPO3 version 8.7 was released on March 31, 2017, the Core Team officially marked version 6.2 as unsupported. Sticking to an older TYPO3 version like 6.2 doesn’t have to be a problem and sometimes there are good reasons for doing so.
But one thing has to be a top priority at all times, and that’s staying on top of security updates.
Maybe your website is still delivering everything you need. Or maybe the update of your website is just taking longer than expected. If you’re still running your website on version 6.2, gain peace of mind by opting for TYPO3 GmbH’s ELTS offer.
