In an effort to maintain its competitive advantage in the digital space, Communardo decided to embark on a website relaunch. To complete this project, webit!, a Dresden based digital agency was chosen. The agency specializes in a range of services from web development to consulting, and SEO.
A Fresh Image was Required
The Communardo team felt that their website had become outdated and no longer met the needs and rising expectations of online visitors.
The brand image was no longer adequately represented, and there was an acute need to improve the site’s visibility in organic search results.
A new, modern website would be required, that was responsive and effectively conveyed the company’s brand image, was compliant with the latest GDPR regulations and which was able to seamlessly integrate third party tools to transfer generated leads into the sales funnel.
Building a New Digital Presence
Together with the team at Communardo, the webit! team began the project by setting a series of initial goals to benchmark progress against. The next step was to create user personas and customer journeys to develop a more comprehensive understanding of how visitors will find and interact with the website.
The implementation stage of the project was carried out with the latest TYPO3 version at the time the project took place (version 11.5). A tag system was developed in TYPO3 for optimal content delivery to target groups, along with a blog with carefully placed animations and transitions for an improved user experience.
An Improved Brand Experience with TYPO3
One of the key outcomes of the project was the decrease in editing time required for new content thanks to the tag system.
This led to better and more qualified leads through optimized landing pages and an integrated CRM system. The webit! team implemented an integration to Microsoft Dynamics CRM for that aspect of the project.
Among the most important outcomes of these changes was the improvement in the efficiency of the lead generation process, which when coupled with the targeted approach to better understanding user journeys, and a new site design, meant that Communardo was in a primed position to capitalize on its new web presence.
