Yoast SEO for TYPO3 Launched
Thanks to Richard from MaxServ for sharing!
On Thursday, April 20th, 2017, MaxServ and Yoast launched the first official version of Yoast SEO for TYPO3 at the event MEET TYPO3.
From now on, everybody using the TYPO3 CMS (version 7 or higher) gets assistance from Yoast to write readable content and optimize it for search engines.
What does it do?
Almost everyone using WordPress already knows the Yoast SEO plugin. You’re not familiar with it? Let’s start with a short introduction:
Yoast SEO helps you write content and to optimize it for search engines by checking the text on several key characteristics. Various standalone assessments will result in 2 overall scores: one for readability and one for use of a focus keyword, which is the keyword you’d like to rank for. These two scores are presented as a green, orange or red bullet. When it’s red or orange you can easily find out from the standalone checks what you should change to get a green bullet. Improving your content for SEO and readability has never been easier!
In addition to this, you can set a specific text and image to go along with a page or post when it will be shared on social media. And you can preview the snippet of your page when it’s shown in Google’s search results. By optimizing your social media post and search results it’s much easier to convince someone to click and go to your website.
How can I use the plugin?
Since both MaxServ and Yoast are open source companies, this plugin is open source, too. You can use the plugin free of charge and can download it on the following websites.
