Introduction

The ComTS Group is an association of three companies operating under the "ComTS" brand and supporting the financial services sector as a wholly owned subsidiary of Commerzbank AG. The group specializes in providing support services for core banking processes, including postal operations, administrative workflows, and complex financial transactions.

With over 2,000 employees across 10 locations in Germany, the company plays a key role in Commerzbank’s operational ecosystem, and boasts a strong work culture centered around modern work practices, diversity and team-oriented collaboration.

In 2020, the company partnered with +Pluswerk to consolidate its employer brand across its digital channels and create a unified brand experience that emphasized clarity, visibility, and consistency as it pertains to employer branding and talent acquisition. ComTS had partnered with +Pluswerk in the past, and the agency’s track record in enterprise-level TYPO3 projects made it an ideal choice for ComTS.

Challenge

ComTS required strategic guidance and a scalable platform to establish itself as an attractive employer brand. Its employer brand would need to clearly communicate the company’s culture, values, and career opportunities across its multiple locations.

Furthermore, success would be benchmarked against metrics such as visibility, recruiting performance driven by SEO-optimized location pages and regional touchpoints, and the ability for HR and Communications teams to manage, update, and expand content effectively and efficiently. 

TYPO3 was deemed to be the most suitable platform to be the backbone for the project thanks to its scalability, multisite capabilities, and editorial workflows, all of which make it ideal for managing a multifaceted employer brand.

Works Performed

+Pluswerk began the process of developing an attractive, unified employer brand by launching a new, scalable TYPO3 platform built on a multisite structure with a centralized backend that manages individual SEO-optimized landing pages for each ComTS location.

The project was primarily handled by the +Pluswerk Magdeburg team (buff.rocks) who combined regional insights with TYPO3 expertise to achieve their goals.

Some highlights of the work include:

  • Producing and integrating authentic employee portraits through on-site photo shoots across Germany.
  • Structuring and creating content tailored to different target audiences, roles, and career stages.
  • Integrating Google Business profiles and social media channels to strengthen local visibility.
  • Providing ongoing development, optimization, and strategic support after the relaunch.

Outcome

The impact of the new TYPO3-backed employer brand was immediately felt. The project showcased +Pluswerk’s expertise in translating complex employer branding challenges into clear and coherent digital platforms, along with the agency’s experience in building multisite platforms catering to specific geographic locations.
