SozialBank has been a financial partner for social and healthcare institutions for over 100 years. The company, founded in 1923 by Free Welfare Organization, which remains its main shareholder, is the only bank in Germany that caters exclusively to institutional players in the country’s social services and healthcare sectors. Its clients include outpatient facilities, elderly care and childcare providers, along with rehabilitation and addiction centers among others, where it provides its specialized financial services.
In 2022, SozialBank underwent a comprehensive brand relaunch, completely repositioning its brand, including overhauling its brand identity, including with a new logo, typeface, and color palette, positioning itself as a modern and forward-looking financial services provider.
As part of the rebrand, the company’s digital presence would also need to be changed, and the bank sought a TYPO3 service provider who could not only adapt its web presence but also take over ongoing website maintenance. 3m5. was chosen to deliver the project and ongoing maintenance.
Challenge
SozialBank needed to update its website design to align with its new corporate identity while keeping underlying infrastructure still intact. The bank also needed the relaunched website to incorporate the highest standards of SEO performance, security, and accessibility for its visitors. The website would need to be intuitive for visitors to navigate through, allowing them to easily browse through the bank’s range of products and services.
These features would need to be delivered on a short timeline of five-months, with minimal disruptions to the bank’s core operations, adding a new level of complexity to the project. The bank needed a partner who could handle both the creative and technical aspects of the projects while providing long-term support for maintenance and other services.
