Back in 2014, Marketing Factory was commissioned by KALDEWEI to redesign and manage its international corporate website offered in ten different languages. Since then it has always been our goal to create innovative, sustainable, and intuitive digital communication solutions for the worldwide audience to display the diversity of the premium product range of bathtubs, showers and washbasins made of unique KALDEWEI steel enamel and to create an emotional engagement with the online presence.
In 2016, the Ahlen-based company commissioned Marketing Factory to relaunch its international corporate website and updating the underlying TYPO3 CMS version from 4.7 to 7.6. The screen design was aligned with the company’s sophisticated brand identity and was largely developed in line with the requirements of trade partners and customers.
At the same time, the redesign process focused on the development and implementation of an intuitively operated installation configurator for KALDEWEI bathtubs, shower trays and wash basins which allows individual configuration of every single KALDEWEI product by means of a user-friendly filter system.
Furthermore, the modern and intelligent SOLR search module provides quick access to technical documents, brochures, images and videos as well as additional information: words, synonyms and spelling mistakes are recognized and suitable alternatives will be suggested if necessary. Images, videos or datasheets can also be found in the new Media Center and can be put altogether in a light box in order to be downloaded or forwarded to clients or colleagues in one easy step.
Finally, the newly developed installer and exhibition search directs prospective customers to KALDEWEI trade partners closest to their current location, and thereby converting them into actual customers.
The next step in personalising the corporate website was to implement a login protected frontend area aimed at different target groups, as e.g. wholesaler, installer or private customer. Here, visitors can select their respective category to register quickly and easily in order to receive additional and exclusive content tailored to their personal needs.
Marketing Factory has moreover developed several interfaces between TYPO3 and external services. It has thereby enabled a number of different platforms (e.g. newsletter services or industry specific databases) to exchange information between each other in order to raise the overall service quality of the website.
The new website of premium manufacturer KALDEWEI went live in September
2016 and has since been honored with the TYPO3 Award in the category “Enterprise/Industry” and with the German Brand Award in gold in the category “Excellence in Brand Strategy, Management and Creation – Web & Mobile”. The jury underlined this decision by how flawlessly the new corporate design and its upmarket look had been translated into the digital medium.
