The challenge

Within a time frame of only two and a half months comwrap realized a complete relaunch of the Flossbach von Storch corporate website with a mobile first approach in Switzerland based on TYPO3.

Flossbach von Storch is well known in the industry, but has not yet reached small customers. The aim was to create a long-lasting emotional response from both B2B customers and private investors. Another focus of the relaunch was the increase in reach and awareness level through solid SEO optimization, which was insufficient due to the technology used to date.

The first steps to a new digital future

Flossbach von Storch approached comwrap with the objective of developing a stable and future-proof vision, optimizing the digital presence, increasing customer loyalty and improving brand awareness.

The customer was dissatisfied with the performance, stability, and functionality of the old system and wanted a solid, future-proof solution that would enable all websites to be managed centrally in one system.

In a first step, comwrap took up the Swiss country version and replaced the old CMS with the current TYPO3 version 8.7 LTS. In the process of the project a redesign of the content elements, the new conception and implementation of the navigation structure as well as SEO optimizations took place. Despite the tight timeframe, the project was successfully completed within two and a half months.

The results

Clear structures
For the User-Journey, clear structures and a new navigation concept were created in order to emphasize the corporate identity of the brand through emotionalizing images and to create an easy entry for the users.

Modern design
The new website was designed and programmed entirely in the Mobile First approach. The appealing presentation, that adapts individually to each end device, supports the awareness of the company in order to open up new target groups and generate additional contacts.

Performant Search
Instead of the search function of the old CMS system, this task is now performed by the search solution Apache SOLR. Search queries are processed with high performance as well as the relevance of the search results has drastically improved, which has resulted in increased usability.
